Ambler, Pa. —  Bradford White Corporation honored Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) National Auxiliary members by hosting a combined scholarship and awards program at the PHCC annual convention, Oct. 21-23, New Orleans.

According to Fred Vattimo, director – Corporate Advertising, Bradford White has a long history of support for the trade and for trade organizations. “Twenty two years ago Bradford White was one of the initial supporters of the Foundation and the Partners For Professionalism and look forward to continuing that partnership” said Vattimo.

Bradford White continued its industry support by again donating $15,000.00 to the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors – National Association. This year $7,500.00 went to the PHCC Education Foundation and another $7,500.00 was earmarked for the Ladies Auxiliary of the PHCC. Bradford White awarded the donations during the annual PHCC-NA Breakfast meeting in New Orleans on October 22^nd. Bradford White was also a Diamond Sponsor of the Connect 2009 and Co-Host with InSinkErator of the opening reception at the show.

The PHCC National Auxiliary is comprised of state and local chapters located throughout the country. The scholarships are designed to attract and support new talent that is essential to the future of the plumbing and HVACR industry. This years scholarship award recipients were: Nathan Glibbery of Bonita, Calif. who is enrolled as a first year apprentice in the PHCC of San Diego Apprentice Program; Heather Grout of Riverside, Iowa who is currently enrolled as a first year apprentice in the Iowa PHCC State Apprentice Program and William Hughes of Janesville, Wis., who is working to complete a two-year HVACR degree from Blackhawk Technical College.
