More than 1,800 companies at AHR; 200 new exhibitors
January 11th, 2010Westport, Conn. — As further indication of the improving economy, a total of 1,813 companies will be showcasing their latest products and technologies to more than 35,000 HVAC/R professionals at the 62nd AHR Expo in Orlando, January 25-27.
According to Show Management, the number of exhibitors is on par with the last AHR Expo (www.ahrexpo.com) in Orlando (2005) and only slightly off from other recent AHR Expos. In addition, more than 200 companies have signed on to exhibit at the Show for the first time and over 375 companies from outside the U.S.
“The timing of the 2010 AHR Expo is very beneficial to the HVAC/R industry and the overall economy,“ said Clay Stevens, President of International Exposition Company, the Show organizer. “We expect that there is already some pent up demand for new products and technologies and that thousands of buyers from around the world will be coming to the Show to make purchasing decisions.”
Stevens added that government incentives are helping to fuel a growing demand for energy-efficient/green products and many of these technologies will be on display for the first time at the world’s largest HVAC/R exclusive event. In addition to the hundreds of exhibitors showcasing these technologies, dozens of educational sessions will also be dedicated to energy related topics.
Among the many “green” educational sessions being offered during the Show, The International Energy Agency will be sponsoring for the first time at AHR Expo a workshop on “Solar Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration.” Nearly 60 companies will also be showing solar products and several hundred will be exhibiting energy-efficient and indoor air quality improvement products.
Industry experts will also be providing valuable educational perspectives on such critical topics as:
Energy Efficiency
Indoor Air Quality
Energy Saving and Reclaiming
Building Control and Automation
Building Integration
Green Building Initiatives/Sustainability
Information Technology and Business Management
Mold and Moisture
Alternative Energy Sources
In addition, the Show will also include Special Features that offer practical information, certification and in many cases, continuing education credits. These include:
New Product Technology Theaters
Building Automation Control Showcase
The Software Center
Various Certification Testing Sessions
Over 70 Educational Sessions and Workshops presented by AHR Expo and its Endorsing Associations
19 Short Courses presented by ASHRAE
“Show visitors realize that AHR Expo is their best opportunity during the year to see so many new products and technologies in one location,” Stevens emphasized.
