When compared to traditional HVAC systems, radiant cooling and chilled beams reduce fan electrical energy demand and consumption up to 10 times. The challenge has been that pump energy demand doubles. Taco’s new LOFlo injection mixing system solves this problem.
Taco’s new LOFlo mixing block consists of a variable speed injection circulator and constant-speed zone circulator.
The LOFlo system reduces the electrical energy demand of an all-air system by up to 40% percent. Also, it accomplishes chilled beam BTU transport with only one-third of the energy needed by chilled beam systems without injection mixing.
